This is the final movement from the "Gates of Hell," a work that depicts several of the sculptures from Rodin's monumental work of the same name. This movement employs several tone painting devices, the use of tritones, the Gregorian Chant, Dies Irae and the African American Spiritual, "O Sinner Man" in a frantic dance.
